Troubadour Spéciale is an amber coloured beer with a spicy and malty first taste, a light body with a touch of caramel and mild hoppy flavors which make you think of an “English Ale” or Spéciale Belge style followed by a dry and bitter aftertaste.

Clear light orange, white lacing foam head. Nice aroma and very nice taste. No outspoken aroma’s or tones, just a good beer. Another one of these Belgian gems. (Velp 201601)

330 ml capped bottle. Poured in the original Troubadour stemmed tulip glass an unfiltered and light hazy amber - reddish copper coloured B A with a two fingers beige foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is caramel malts, a spicy touch and notes of smoke. The flavour is caramel malts, brown sugar, a yeasty touch, dried fruits, nuts and mild grassy hops. The mouthfeel is crispy, a bit sweety and light bitter. The texture is watery. This medium bodied B A has a dry light bitter finish. Drinkable but not my favourite.
