Another new discovery from the Sharp Edge Creekhouse. Trompe La Mort had very little head coming off of the bottle pour. It has an iced tea type color with sweet caramel scents. Trompe La Mort is toffeeish in taste with a very mild bite and no real aftertaste. A nice warming malty character exists with some citrus notes, but not so much with the hops. It's more like a Belgain ale than a Dopplebock. I enjoyed this new German beer adventure.
