Breakfast Hero is our Imperial stout/ lovechild with our buddies at HERO Doughnuts. For this collaboration, HERO provided us with loads of delicious doughnuts to add to our mash making this beer a perfect example of a pastry stout. We packed the grain bill with multiple base malts, chocolate malt, plenty of oats, and as we can't mention enough, a ton of fresh HERO Doughnuts. We then maxed our fermentor out with an extremely generous amount of Vermont Maple syrup, a pound of Madagascar vanilla beans, and Freshly Roasted Brazilian coffee beans from our pals down the street at SEEDS coffee to tie this imperial stout together in perfect breakfast harmony. This beer is brimming with notes of syrupy covered pancakes, melty bakers chocolate, subtle vanilla cream, and roasty hazelnut coffee. All of the above backing this lactose creamy and chewy body which makes this the perfect pairing with any breakfast dish. When you bring this beer to the table, you are the Breakfast Hero.

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5
A solid black beer with a light brown head, rocky and laces well. The aroma is dominated by roasted malt, molasses, coffee, and vanilla. Mouthfeel is average, and slightly creamy. The flavor is slightly sweet for a stout, but the bitter finish is there. Not one I’ll try again anytime soon.

Pours opaque coffee with a thick and persistent tan head. Aroma presents quality coffee, roast malt, maple syrup, subtle chocolate notes. Flavor gives roast malt, quality coffee, maple, chocolate, a hint of molasses. Texture offers peppy fizz and rather viscous body. Breakfast in a can!
