Came to me with a very nice dark brown color and the aroma was sweet and malty. It was a kind of lacking in the Scottish flavor seemed to be lacking just a touch but still not a bad brew.

Poured a dark maroon, almost blace with a thin white head. Mouthful was pretty thin. Flavor was slightly sweet with a hop presense, but not a very flavorful beer.

sampler from brewery. black in color with a thick body and nice off white head and good lacing. aroma is strong of malts and smell is very sweet. taste is slightly too sweet for my taste. was there a touch of chocolate in this??

Sampled at Thunderhead. Poured a dark purplish-brown color with a light head. Aroma was very malty. Flavor was malty as well, with hints a plum evident. A good choice for Scottish Ale fans.
