Winner of the BRONZE award in the Imperial Stout Category at the 2000 World Beer Cup International Beer Competition. Russian Imperial Stouts were originally brewed for export to the Royal Court of Russia where they were enjoyed by Catherine the Great. Ours has a rich intense maltiness with black currant, toffee and dark roasted malt flavors. The higher alcohol content is sure to warm you up from the inside out.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 7
Poured an opaque black color with a small, tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, nuts, citrus, and some piney hops as well. Taste of chocolate, with some nuts, dry, earthy, with piney hops as well, caramel malts, tobacco, roast... with a somewhat thin mouthfeel.
