Köln style beer. Tzara is a hybrid beer, fermented like an ale but matured like a lager. The higher fermentation temperatures give a broad, almost fruity palate with some bready notes which are softened by the lagering period. The result is delicate straw coloured, crisp, refreshing beer. Malt: extra light German Pils, Cara pils,, Wheat. Hops: Perle, Tettnanger, Mittelfrüh. Yeast: Kölsch.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pale golden colour, large white head. Pleasant fresh and fruity aroma, some floral notes too. The flavour is crisp with hints of citrus and white bread, true to style, Easy drinking, but I wouldn’t mind a little more bitterness.

500 ml capped bottle. Poured in an original large Kölsch Stange a clear straw-yellow coloured Kölsch with a close to white generous four fingers pillowy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is wheaty malts, notes of straw, faint fruity touches, citrus. The flavour is wheaty malts, corn, bready, fruity notes, citrus, grassy hops. The mouthfeel is crispy and fresh. This light bodied Kölsch has a dry, unusual for a Kölsch, hoppy bitter finish. A very easy drinkable Kölsch... from Great Britain !
