Rich and dark with smoke, subtle peatiness and the power of the dark malts. Molasses and liquorice and chocolate goodness all wrapped up in a smooth, warming liquid. Finishes with a distinct humming bitterness carried well by the hop and malt combo.

Strike the rich part and it's as accurate as you can get. 7.7 (and English thin - think Sam Smith's) isn't exactly rich for an american imperial stout lover, but the smoke was cool and unexpected.

This wasn't to bad .. . Pours a deep black .. medium foam, same lacing .. . shitballs .. . medium roast and blackened plum skin .. . pretty good, but i feel that on cask would be the best option .. . . how now brown cow? what??

500 ml capped bottle. Poured an opaque dark, dark-brown, close to black coloured IRS with a generous three fingers tan and dense creamy foamy head that had a huge retention and tons of micro bubbles. Sustained carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is roasted coffee beans, roasted malts, mocha and ... surprising vegetables, green olives. The flavour is roasted malts, toasted coffee beans, chocolate, mocha, fruity, plums and a spicy touch, licorice. The mouthfeel is creamy, fulled, thick and smooth. This full bodied IRS has an expresso finish and a long bitter aftertaste. A mellow and well tasting Imperial Stout. I enjoyed it.

At Copenhagen Beer Festival, served too warm. Black colour, moderate tan head. Roasty aroma and flavour, fairly dry, with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and smoke, hints of liquorice and wood. Pretty good.

Aroma is strong and smoky with an overtone of molasses that is not too sweet. It pours a nice opaque oily sable with a fairly thick light and fine-bubbled light tan head. Rich flavor is smoky and malty with tones of quality roast coffee, molasses and licorice. Thick, oily texture is quite fizzy and leaves behind a nice tingle, along with a sweet and slightly hoppy/woody finish. Recommended!
