This beer is a dark brown, mostly black color, it shows clear with ruby highlights when held up to the light. The head is a creamy brown color. The aroma is rich with notes of chocolate and lightly roasted coffee. The taste is smooth and creamy with a solid chocolate highlight to it. There is a bit of roasted malt astringency in the finish. Again this is a very quaffable brew by this brewery. There is some soft fruitiness here that reminds me most of raisins. This has been another stylistic masterpiece.
