750ml bottle -
A huge bottle to drink on a lazy Labor Day afternoon. The beer pours out a cloudy yellow body with a thick, merengue-like white head. Aroma has TONS of soapy/hand lotion like notes with cereal and light lemony hops. Flavor has a high degree of residual sweetness, earthy-wet hops, noticeable alcohol and light oranges. Way, way overpriced at $22 a bottle. -

Sampled on 7/23/2011. This Imperial Pilsner pours a somewhat hazy medium orange gold color from a 750ml bottle. Medium to large sized white rocky foamy head with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity, sweet, cereal, earthy and spicy. A medium to full bodied Imperial Pilsner. The malts are fruity and sweet, cereal and grainy. The hops are floral, citrusy and spicy. Lively carbonation. Some orange and orange rind. The taste is somewhat on the sweet side, but there are lots of hops in this beer as well, so they can of balance each other out. The beer starts sweet up front, but finishes bitter and hoppy. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
