Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8

Deep brown pour with a slight amber hue and a frothy white head. Striking aromas of candied sugar, oak, and vanilla. Thick mouthfeel helped out with strong carbonation. It's a sipper at 13 percent but the alcohol is hidden well. Wonderful flavors of candied yams, vanilla, and oaky bourbon. I'm not the biggest fan of the base beer, but the barrel really adds complexity and this one is a winner. It's not a sugar bomb like so many other high gravity bruery beers.

POurs a bit darker than the other 2. As expected, this was my favorite of the 3 versions of Autumn Maple. The regular offering is a bit like Punkin, good but not great. The brett version is a bit muddled. And in this one, they didn't seem to be going for subtlety with the bourbon. The aroma and flavor are predominantly bourbon, partly because the original beers flavor wasn't too aggressive to begin with, and partly because it must have spent quite a bit of time in the oak, as evidenced by the 3% jump in abv. A nice mix of sweet and peppery bourbon, allowing just enough of the yammy sweetness through (and a touch of spice) to make it unique.
