Black beer, not pasteurized, top fermented. The natural refermentation in the bottle creates a soft and velvety head, cappuccino colored. Full flavored beer, with full body, its aroma reminds the toasting of barley coffee, cocoa, liquorice and rhubarb. Soft and creamy mouthfeel, with a round and structured aromatic feeling. We recommend to consume at 12° - 14° C. Ingredients: Monte Nerone water, barley malt, sugar, hop and... a lot of passion!

If you get a bottle of this, be VERY careful when you open it - this beer is a freakin’ geyser! Have a big, thirsty towel handy! When it quits foaming like nobody’s business, it pours warm coffee brown with a thick tan head. Roast malt aroma has molasses, coffee, and subtle smoky notes. Mouthfeel has decent body and good fizz. Hey, them Italians can brew some darned good beer!

Like all beers from this brewery, it comes in a very stylish bottle. The content of the bottle is not equally impressive. Sample at Copenhagen Beer Festival, from a new bottle. The guy in the bar rolled the bottle vigorously, to get the maximum flavour out of the sediment. I’m not sure that this was such a good idea. Murky brown appearance, low head. Moderate aroma and flavour of "dusty" malts and a little hops, hints of a slight ashy roastiness. Not undrinkable, but very boring - and not something I will buy again.

Bottled@Old Bank, Turku. Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, liquorice and some toffee along with mild burnt sugary notes. Flavour is fudge, alcohol, some toffee, burnt sugary notes as well as liquorice and some sweet maltyness. Got the elements, but mixes up quite thin for being 8 %.
