Had this in motherwell in the pub where my family used to get drunk before they emmigrated. Decent brew, lots of flavour and goes down fairly smooth. Decent scottish lager

The nitro version is known as Tennent's Velvet. I had a few pints on nitro tap in Glasgow, must have been Tennent's even if the glass just read ’Velvet’. Well, the pints I had certainly deserved their name, velvety, smooth and creamy indeed. The beer may not be outstanding, but GOOOOD, to be sure! Moderate grapefruity elements with hints of caramel.

On tap Thunderton House Inn, Elgin Scotland. Nice chesnut colour with a fine smooth creamy tan head. Aroma is mostly of toasty mnalts, not bad. Nice smooth toasty, toffeeish malt taste. Small bitter aftertaste. Very nice creamy smooth mouthfeel. Very drinkable, would be easy to pound a few of these.

Nice beer to sit and watch the game. goes down best when its chilled. has a certain touch of class to it the distinct yellow and red can makes it impressive even before you crack it open. happy drinking!
