Bottled as Edwin Tuckers Empress Russian Porter. Dark ruby red colour, small brown head. Aroma is raisins, some roast and caramel along with some coffeeish notes. Flavour is roasted malts, some raisins, coffee and tar.

Bottle 2003. Black and opaque with a slim tan head. Roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and raisins in the aroma. Sweet roasted malts in the taste, with some coal tar, dark fruits, licorice and some chocolate. Quite highly carbonated. It is very good; I think I like it.
