Take Two Pils is a step into an alternate reality for SweetWater, a head-first dive down the rabbit hole into the Wonderland world of lagers. The adventurous golden blonde German style pilsner is brewed with a mad hatter’s dose of spicy floral hops. It’s beautifully Bohemian in body, earthy in soul and it’s moving low. Go ask Alice, I think she’ll know. Call us in the morning!

Pale yellow, white lasting, lacing foam head. Earthy barley aroma and similar taste. OK pilsener. Glad I could add another Sweetwater to my list. (Chicago 201510)

This pils gets straight 8's from me. This was a really nice pilsner and a really well hopped beer. This almost has a Sam Adam's Boston Lager thing goin' on. I loved it - very refreshing and clean. It could be a go to summer beer.

Comes out of the tap a slightly hazy golden with a nice pale buff head. Crisp, malty aroma has a hint of pear. Flavor is crisp and malty, a little fruity with a subtle hoppy note - very refreshing, perfect for a sweltering day. Mouthfeel is fizzy and firmer than most pilsners I have consumed. Sweetwater's IPA is one of my faves, as well as one of my top IPAs. This is a fave for me among pilsners - and I'm the dark beer type.

Better than the average pilsner. There is some malt and substance to this once. Appearance is not the typical pale yellow, but has some medium shine to it...almost a lighter gold. Still has that grassy flavor, with some decent malted barley and just enough hops to stay true to the style. Could be one of my staple pilz.
