Our hard cider has 6% alcohol, fairly dry, with lively carbonation. It is made in a champagne style. We barrel ferment the cider in used oak which gives just a hint of oak on the finish. It is a very versatile drink as a wine alternative during a lite meal, or as an aperitif much like a fine Riesling. The cider is crisp and clean, and can be served on those occasions where a cold beer is appropriate. The refreshing flavors leaves you wanting more. We package in 750ml champagne bottles with a traditional bottle cap.

Got a 750ml bottle of this at John’s Grocery in Iowa City. This is made locally in Iowa. No, I did not drink this on ice, but that would sound good on a hot day. Pours a very light and bright gold color with copious amounts of carbonation. At the very end of the bottle, there was a tiny bit of sediment. The aroma is faintly carboard and alcohol, with strong apples (Granny Smith) and a slight vineous character. Taste is strong with Jonathon apples and some grape juice. The alcohol is well hidden. A delicious and refreshing drink. Easily the best cider I have had.

Pours straw golden in color, with a nice cheery bubbliness, which I don’t think is a word, but fits quite nicely. Decent aroma of sour apples, appealing with a subtle sweetness wrapped in a veil of tart. While the flavor leaves a little to be desired (I would have liked the tartness of the apple to shine through here) it is clean and rather pleasant. Overall, a decent cider.
