A nice, smooth, well done forst foray into barrel aging. The barreling improved the aroma, body and flavor of what I thought was at best an average base doppelbock (though it scores more highly than that). Bready, slight bourbon and booze, a little raisiny sweetness. Not overdone. On tap at the Davis Beer Shoppe.
