Brilliant golden ale with inviting citrus fragrance of late added Golding hops. The fine hop and light malt aromas carry through to the palate to give an ale that is full but refreshing and with a clean bitter finish.

Pours a nice clear mahogany with a fluffy, if not too persistent, pale tan head. Malty aroma has apple and spice hints and is inviting if not strong. Flavor is mainly malty, again with an apple undertone and hints of spice and caramel. Texture is average-bodied and just a little fizzy.

Sampled on 6/22/2011. The golden blone ale pours a medium amber color from a 12pz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, malty, a touch sweet. Medium bodied ‘golden ale’, seems more like an Irish ale to me but… Malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy and herbal. Decent carbonation. Kind of peaty amd malts and semi sweet caramel. Maybe a touch of mineral as well. A little different, there is something there I can’t quite figure out, and I can’t tell if it a good thing or bad. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Nice screw top. What's up with the cream topped sword on the label? Did someone make this crap in their basement? Smells of stale urine. Color is of tobacco spit. Thin mouthfeel and no taste. Finish is wood and leather and a little peat. Cost is $0.50/bottle which works out to about $0.04/drink. Wait a minute... I think I'm starting to like this stuff, but I think I'm gonna regret it in the morning.
