An English-Style Pale Ale, the ESB stands for “extra special bitter.” This style is known for its balance and the interplay between malt and hop bitterness which makes it especially enjoyable for those that typically enjoy more malt-forward styles but can also appreciate a good bitter flavor like that of IPAs. Li’l Numpty displays earthy, herbal hop character with the use of East Kent Golding hops, giving off a moderate hop bitterness, and a dose of Pale, Victory, C-60 malts along with English yeast seal the deal on this well-rounded beer.
