To Celebrate Yard House's 22nd Anniversary, Stone Brewing in collaboration with Aviation American Gin brings you Liquid Compass Double IPA. Now you can enjoy everything you love about a flavorful beer and a smooth gin in one single sip. Uniquely brewed using the same botanicals as Aviation Gin, Liquid Compass emulates the same New World profile as the popular gin. Sweet orange peel, whole juniper berries and coriander seeds are added to the beer post-fermentation. These combined with the citrus and tropical hop character give the beer an intense citrus flavor, with an emphasis on orange notes. The finish is sweet and malty with massive hop and botanical character.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Rated July 17th 2019. 32oz crowler pours with a clear copper body that has thin golden hues and supports a nice fairly tight off white head of foam. The aroma offers up fairly rich pine hops, modest berry, cherry and papaya like notes. The taste delivers similar notes with rich yet blunted pine hop flavor and modest pine hop bitterness. Below the pine hops are sweet fig, berry and tangy papaya moving into some bitter floral hoppiness. Nice full flavored IIPA.
