22oz bomber pours with a crystal clear deep copper body that has thin gold edges and supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up cherry and citrus gummy bears, a bit of ripe red apple, a dash of sweet white grapes and then a sweet malty sense. The taste starts smooth and sweet and then it gets into a mix of yeasty spices, red apple sweetness, some raisins and then it tries to climb into a modest blend of citrus and slightly pine hoppiness. It gets to a decent level of bitterness to midway and into the finish. For a blend of an IPA and Tripel I think this has attained a good balance as both seem to be pretty well represented. I’d prefer stronger IPA but that’s me.
