Gold Medal Winner 2005 North American Beer Awards Named after the early Fox River explorer, Jacques Marquette, this recipe originated at the Fox Classic Brewery once located in downtown Appleton. This beer is an export-style European pilsner bier with several additions of the noble saaz hop. This will come across as a dry, clean beer with a wonderful hop nose.

well balanced brew overall. plenty of biscuit malt with a lightly hopped finish. straw yellow in colour, small white head, maintains a grainy taste. very refreshing.

This is described right on the bottle as a German-style pilsner with "bold hop overtones and a slightly spicy finish". Not so -- it's much more like a standard American lager with no nose and only faint hop flavor. The head is thick and foamy and the body is a hazy gold. Smooth, light-bodied and refreshing but not true to style and little in the way of character.

Thanks to Ughsmash for this one. This pours an amber color with an aroma & flavor that reminds me of tart apples, It’s a nice thirst quencher, but nothing spectacular
