2006 Chief of Beers. An American style wheat beer made with pure Wisconsin honey. Served hefe style (unfiltered) which means it will appear cloudy. A yeasty tone layered with a honey sweetness makes this a refreshingly light brew.

Pours bright orange-golden colour. Decent white head. It definately had a prevalent honey taste, but not very much wheat flavor. Aroma was sweet of honey, grain and sugar.

This is not one of those thin, tasteless American Wheat Ales that seem to be gaining in popularity. Instead this has some real Bavarian weissbier characteristics to go along with its American heritage. The yellow body is cloudy and effervescent, with a thick, frothy persistent head. The nose is very light; some faint sweet honey but no spice or fruit. The flavors are mild but delightfully sweet; honey-dipped banana with some yeasty-citrus notes. very nice indeed.
