WHO SAYS THE WORLD NEEDS ANOTHER IPA? WE STILL DO. We definitely do not have any misgivings about revisiting our instantly memorable 2014 collaboration with Heretic Brewing Company and Beachwood Brewing. In the 2016 rebirth of this double IPA, we’ve dialed back the dankness and upped the hop intensity with a new mélange of hops (Idaho 7, Azacca and Motueka). Just like the original, its tropical fruit character, spiciness and classic American resiny, piney hop flavor hits a sweet spot in the name of all that is good, delicious, hoppy and forward-thinking.

Pours clear orange-amber with a thick and persistent eggshell head. Aroma delivers strong citrus, resiny and malty tones plus a woody hint. Flavor bursts with resiny hops, while citrus plays second fiddle and malt and subtle bitter wood continue in supporting roles. Body leaves a little to be desired, but fizz is good. Cheers to Stone, and may they keep on brewin’!

22 oz bomber. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a big creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is creamy malts with floral, fruity, slightly soapy, with piney hops and some alcohol.
The flavor is sweet sugary bready malts with some fruit and floral piney hops that have a good amount of bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, an OK big bitter IPA. It's a bit too floral with some odd soapy minty notes.
