Our 19th anniversary beer brings the boom, delivering it to the palate in a voluminous, hop-driven thunderclap backed by the power of our brewing passion and intensity. This double IPA owes its considerable oomph to a quartet of Australian hops—Topaz and Galaxy, plus newcomers Ella and Vic Secret. We also had Fairview malt shipped in from Australia just for this brew. The beer's striking tropical fruit, citrus and peach hop flavors and slightly resinous and aromatically dank earthiness are sure to electrify your senses.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Rated in Sept. 2015. Some 22oz bombers picked up at Costco in Tempe where the first of many bottles purchased pours out with a clear pure gold body that supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up tangerine, pineapple and a thin wafer of dank spicy onions with some mild sweet maltiness off in the background. The taste is fresh and crisp and pretty damn snappy for a IIPA. It unloads tangerines, grapefruit, pineapple and a spicy onion dankness that has a unique onion spiced and slightly malt sweetened green bell pepper like sensation to it. This is coming together wondefully. D-lish. Yeah, ok. I’m a Stone Brewing homer, what of it.

Pours beautiful clear amber with a thick and frothy pale buff head. Strong, hoppy aroma follows you around the room, dragging grapefruit and malty hints in its wake. Flavor bursts with resiny hops and bold grapefruit, while lightly toasted malt shyly provides firm support. Mouthfeel presents firm body and plenty of fizz to go around. Get thunderstruck, mate!

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8

22 oz bottle, bottled on 7/30/15. Pours slightly hazy yellow gold with a big rocky white head that retains well and laces the glass some.

The aroma is dank resiny piney floral hops with some tropical fruit.

The flavor is a little bready caramel malt with some tropical fruit and a huge resiny, dank, piney, floral hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a nice big bitter hop bomb of a DIPA.
