This beer is certainly not for the faint hearted and most definitely packs a punch or two. Sponsored by Stewart Brewing, the recipe was created by James Hardacre, a keen and experienced home brewer, who succeeded in winning The Southern’s home brew competition. With an extensive array of six different hops, FWP is the hoppiest beer that Stewart Brewing have ever produced. Brewed with Oat Malt, Crystal Rye.

Pours an unfiltered amber colour with a golden hue. The big warm cap is frothy, long lasting giving out some thick foamy lacing. Floral aromas from the hops. Smooth mouthfeel with a little oil to it. The taste has some light grassiness from the hops with some nice grapefruit and other citrus notes. Again, smooth finish. Not too crazy bitter, but hard to find the Belgian side of this brew. Still, pretty good overall.

The pour is a slightly hazed golden tinged copper colour with a generous bubbly head that disappears quickly. The aroma is sweet caramel, fruit, pine, and weak notes of yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lots of carbnonation. Flavour is more IPA than Belgian with the hops being very present -

330ml bottle from LCBO. Upon opening bottle, huge foamy head comes out, poured quickly. What remained was still a huge frothy head that stuck around for quite awhile. Big thick dirty lace. Has an amber coppery appearance. Excessive carbonation. Aromas of pine, grass, hints of wheat and a little bit of yeast. Flavours are hoppy, some earthy and resin notes, hints of dark fruits, a little bit of a soapy like finish. Fairly smooth and slick mouthfeel.

Murky copper colour pour. Large white head dissipates quickly and leaves blotchy lacing. Light fruit and pine aroma. Flavour of light fruit, pine, rust and is floral and medicinal. Thin to medium mouthfeel. Not a beer I will be revisiting.
