A derivative of the German Kolschs that were created in response to the popularity of lager-based Pilsners being created in the Czech Republic at the time. It is a light and crisp ale with a hint of sweetness, very refreshing.

Sampled on 10/2/2012. This Kolsch pours a light yellow gold color from a 12oz can. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is grainy, fruity and sweet. A light to medium bodied Kolsch. The malts are cereal, grainy fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Nice carbonation. Light and refreshing. Crisp and clean. Nice lawnmower beer. Perhaps a little light tasting. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

It pours a light golden, applejuice appearance with trace white head and minimal lace. A sweet and fresh aroma of choice malts, light hops, tangerine, and apple? The mouthfeel is amooth and rich. Flavors of fresh malts, light hops, tart, citrus, and again .. Some apple? Relaxing brew good for summer.

has a good head on the pour .. has some nice background .. some stale cardboard aroma .. . bland ... goes down smooth but so simple .. . not instant gravy cool, more like just the water...

Having now sampled several Kolsch-style beers, I was rather looking forward to this one when I came across it this last summer. Darn, what a let down. Pleasant enough aroma and appearance, but that light, citrusy flavor I was expecting just wasn't there. It was actually a little sour, and a bit off-putting. My wife wrinkled her nose and refused to finish her half of the bottle. I bought the damned bomber, so by god I was gonna finish it--but I wasn't happy about it.
