Dark brown, almost black with low beige foam. Burnt aroma with notes of dark chocolate, licorice and black coffee. Black coffee, dark chocolate and nuts in the flavour with a long finish of burnt malts and chocolate. Pretty nice.

Draught. Black colour, small head. Aroma is malty and hoppy with some sweetish hints. Flavour is black coffee, malts and fruits. Very dry finish. Quite carbonated. 5 5 5 6 6

Re-rated during SOPP in June 2006 (draught) and April 2007 from bottle. Very dark brown colour iwth huge beigeish brown head. Aroma is smoke and lots of roasted malts. Flavour is lots of smoke and roast with some weak hints of caramel. The roast stays for long in the aftertaste. Not sure if it’s a new recipe, or if the "later" ratings just have aged properly, since it was a brand new beer in October 2005 (first ratings, it used to be the beer of the month on Hyvät Olutravintolat -"chain"). Not it’s turned out to a really nice dark beer. 7 8 7 6 7.
