Peated beer. A balance of malt sweetness and hop bitterness is complemented by " peaty " overtones from distilling malt used in whisky production. Brewed with skill and patience in one of the Britain's finest small breweries.

Clear light copper yellow with small white foam ring. Arom is dominated by smokey charcoal. Taste is quite smokey, but still very fresh. Aftertaste is lasting, nice bitter. (Velp 201307)

500 ml oval green bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.8%. Deep golden colour, moderate to low white head. Strong aroma of peat smoke / peated malts. The flavour is also dominated by peat smoke and ashes, with just a hint of fruity hops in the background, dry finish. Okay, but one bottle is enough.

500 ml capped bottle. Poured in the original St Peter's pint a clear copper-brown coloured Ale with a one finger slight beige foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is moderate malty, strong peaty and notes of smoke. The flavour is heavy peaty, notes of caramel and wood, some ashes ? The mouthfeel is slight crispy, quite oily and even syrupy. This medium bodied Ale has a long peaty finish. Such a huge peaty ale is for me quite unconventional, but it's a pretty interesting try.
