This noble delicious beer with a high fermentation has a ruby purple colour with a full malty and fruity taste. This beer has a beautiful round froth due to the second fermentation with a taste that creates a perfect balance between sweet and sour.

I tried this beer on December 16, 2011 at "Bar Volo" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer pours a medium reddish brown with a thin tan coloured cap. The aroma consists of yeast, dark sugars, malt, and plums. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is sweet malt, fruit, sugar, grains, butterscotch, and yeast. Nothing like a good Belgian yeast.

(New Year’s Eve tasting Flight (2 of 4) Pours a much larger head. Might have been warmer than the 6 which I had 90 minutes ago. While the head does collapse almost as quickly as the 6, it provides a LOT more lace than its lighter cousin. Lots of sediment in this one. Still an orangy color, however, a little towards the brown end of the spectrum. Can smell the brown malts coming out in the aroma. Body is heavier. Flavor of belgian candy sugars coming out. Must more complex body and flavor compared to the 6. More pronounced warming on palate and throat after a minute. The warmer it gets the heavier the body gets.

75cl bottle at Amundsen (shared with Alexcg). Pours amber with an off-white head. Fruity aroma with caramel, malt, dark dried fruits and a hint of alcohol. Sweet, fruity and malty with a nice balance. Some dryness in the finish, also a hint of bitterness and maybe a little roasty. Sweet, but very pleasant. Nice!

Dark brown with a froathy creamy head. Floral aroma with a sourish tint. Very rich malt fruit flavor which leaves a nice smooth after taste.

Pours a large frothy beige head and has a murky brownish appearance. Fairly weak lacing. Aromas of raisins, yeast, malts. Flavours are mostly dry type fruits (raisins, plums, etc...) Has some yeasty notes, toasty and caramel malts and a bit sweet malts as well. Average carbonation. Full bodied mouthfeel. Tingling and slick sensation. Really good beer.

Pours out extremely dark brown with a tan head. The aroma is deep and rich of malt. The mouthfeel is nice and thick. The taste is sweet malt, figs and of some kind of fruit not sure I guess figs.

So we're up in The Bar(n) after dinner with PfoxyJohn and he says, "Pick some good ones out of the cooler for us." I did. This was one of those "picks". Cloudy brownish pour, fluffy head, some lacing. Big yeasties right away, then plenty-o-malts, spicy, lightly floral, FRUITY and just plain stupendous. This was an old bottle. Musty-looking, torn label, vintage. John may know how old it was but it aged very well my friend. Epic.

Dark yellow, ligh brown with thick foam head lacing to glass. Drank this at one of beer tasting evenings. Good addittion. Good Belgium beer. Aroma is bit sweet, but taste is not. (Utrecht 201203)

Pours a copper-color with a great thick white head with great lacing. The aroma is grainy with dark fruits and some orange scents mixed in along with some caramel, toffee, toasted bread. The taste is sweet caramel malt, with a slight alcohol taste that lasts through the finish. The mouthfeel is heavy bodied, sticky yet smooth from the carbonation.
