From the Pfoxyjohn- St. Benoît on Tab Benoit's birthday. Nice. Deep brown pour with a tight light beige head and nice tight Belgian lacing throughout. Sweet and spicy aroma with browning caramel, dark ripe fruits, slight anise, very slight cinnamon, yeasts, earthiness. Taste is burnt sweet caramel, light spices, ripe fruits, slight spices, earthy finish. Nice and rewarding. Music: Tab Benoit - Nice and Warm - "Can't wait to get back home, where the sun is always nice and warm" Merci Beaucoup Mon Frère John, Merci Beaucoup.

Bottled. Deep murky reddish brown colour with huge beige creamy head. Aroma is spices, caramel malts, some yeast and slightly metallicness. Flavour is fruity, sweet malty as well as bready and yeasty. Solid and wellbalanced brew.

Dark brown colour with a large tan coloured head. Aroma is sweet with light caramel and plummy fruit. Very nice and complex taste; dark fruits, coffee, liquorice (slight) and chocolate. Short light bitter finish. Medium bodied with a nice slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Very good.
