Out for a night with Alexandria Brew Crewers and focused on dark. I thought the bartender had confused the Southern Tier Creme Brulee with the Hardywood Sidamo Coffee Stout, and I was right, so I've switched the reviews. This has a coffeeish color and miniscule ring. Aromas of vanilla custard, butterscotch, and orange are amazingly sweet. The flavor perfectly represents the aroma, especially the vanilla custard, but there's no lack of char. Very mild tingle, velvety feel. Love this!

Not sure if it stinks or smells good but certainly smells like vanilla. It pours with no head and deep black red. Mouthfeel is like chalk and the taste well let me say vanilla doesn't belong in a stout.

The one thing i like more than a good beer is a good dessert, this stuff smells awesome! i kept on sniffing it all the way down, aromas of creme brulee, toasted caramel, butterscotch, vanilla. Standard black body ok head and lace. Nice thick mouthfeel, goes down pretty smooth. Flavors are like the aroma with a noticeable alcohol coming in, as it warms the roasted malts come through as well. A bit sweet but thats what it is, a dessert beer, very nice.

Lots going on here. This stout is shockingly good. So much so, I took a bottle home with me from my trip to Vintage Estates in Boardman, Ohio. Bold thick dark liquid sits underneath a nice tan head that has great staying power throughout the drink. Scents of vanilla, caramel, and mocha waft from the snifter. Outstanding flavors of molasses, vanilla, chocolate, heavy cream, and velvety smooth butter caress the buds. Very sweet and chewy with little hop character if any at all. Just the way I like it! Southern Tier, you have surpassed perfection in a glass. This one blew me away.

Bottled@Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Black colour, small, slightly off-white head. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts as well as some berries. And some more vanillaish notes. Flavour is toffee, cream, coffee, lots of vanilla with some slight hints of roasted malts. Totally kickass. Mild smoked wooden notes as it gets warm. A lovely vanillabomb, which I am really fond of...

This was my first taste of the S.T. Creme Brulee stout. It smelled great while pouring into the glass, aromas of caramel and a hint of vanila right away. The taste of heavily roasted malts and caramel come through strongly. The pour was creamy and laced the glass well. A good desert beer.

Bottle from last beer run in oHIo - Belmont Party Supply in Dayton. Dark leather brown pour, almost black, heavy, with a tall and tight creamy tan head imparting tons of lacing throughout. Deep rich aromas of dark caramels, steamed heavy cream, vanilla, dark brown sugar. Taste is extremely rich, with noticeable vanilla custard, dark rich caramels, a touch of chocolate, hint of coffee, dark brown sugars, more vanilla, heavy cream. Absolutely stunning heavy and extremely delicious Imperial Stout. So heavy had to share bottle with my wife who also loved it.

So I love Southern Tier. And this is a good beer to got your girlfriend into good beer (and drunk, if that's your angle). Smells like dessert in a fancy restaurant. Dang, this smell sgood! --- An unbelievable dessert beer. At times too sweet, but hey, I'm not complaining. Smells just like butterscotch pudding. Sweet? Check. Masterfully brewed? Check.

Wow, awesome aroma for this beer. Smells like butterscotch, caramel, and vanailla. Really nice pour, medium tan head. Flavor was very good, but got to be a little too sweet for me. Bomber bottle is way too much for me. Really unique brew.

Holy accessible beer, smells like butterscotch pudding--really strongly. Bit of burnt sugar. Really high quality hot chocolate, tastes like really sweet malted barley covered in demura brown sugar. Some latent milk type mouthfeel. I am really impressed that any beer can taste like this. I shared the 22oz I had but wish I hadn't.... Points for uniquness for sure,
