Summer Beer is a Pre-Prohibition Pilsner brewed alt style. We start with a pilsner recipe, add some flaked maize for fun, use a lot of Saaz hops for their spicy slavor, then ferment it with our house ale yeast for a clean, dry beer with refreshing finish. Alt-style refers to the use of an ale yeast instead of a lager yeast. Original Gravity - 1.052 ¤ International Bitter Units - 28 ¤ Alcohol by volume - 5.6%

From Pt Roberts (WA) Marketplace. Poured a clear, medium gold beneath an enduring rocky yet thin head. Aroma was clean and fresh, with a hint of hop. Taste was somewhat odd, slightly sour. Do I like this? Not yet, but it did improve as we went along. Mouth was okay, and th finish innocuous. A good hot-day beer.
