We roasted 10 pounds of fresh pie pumpkins along with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves; then added it to our new Scottish stout for a great fall beer just in time for Thanksgiving. Flavors of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, caramel, and a faint smokiness all contribute to a beautiful marriage of flavors.

Pours opaque and appetizing chocolate brown. Aroma presents roast malt, smoky, waxy, spicy and subtle pumpkin tones. Flavor is mainly roast pumpkin, plus spices and malt. Mouthfeel has average body and not much fizz. A good one for harvest time.
