We made a stout. A Stout. Oh, Dreams. Born of depravity and loneliness, malt roasted unceremoniously in the muddy backwoods of Belleville. The acrid smoke suffocating our flesh, nothing but ash and regret. And chocolate notes. And coffee. And a little toffee. As far as we can tell this is the first stout made with 100% Ontario ingredients. Since there are no suppliers of roasted malt in Ontario we had to resort to roasting it ourselves with some help from our friends at Barn Owl Malt. We're really happy with how it turned out.
