Bottle was dated 2007, tasted in 2009. A nice brownish-black pour, dark brown creamy head, tons of lacing. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, and licorice bombard the olfactory senses. The flavour is quite bitter with the onslaught of coffee and dark chocolate, but also a some malty sweetness is there to make it palateable. A good beer.

This poured a black color with a beige head. The aroma contains some chocolate, coffee, and a hint of charcoal. The flavor is rather sweet with some chocolate, coffee, and cocoa powder. Some alcohol in the finish. Overall this was a bit on the extreme side but good. Happy trails my friend!

Poured an unfiltered, opaque black color, with a large tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, smoke, nuts, and dried fruits. Taste of chocolate, roast, sweet caramel malts, dark fruits, and light bitterness, with light alcohol in the finish.
