Pours a real dark brown colour with not much highlights, a mocha-coloured head, average retention and a small ring left around the brew. Beautiful aromas of roasted malt base with coffee, blending with the cacao, maple syrup and peppery-spicy notes. The taste is milder with some nice mild bitterness lingering. Not as sweet, as maple is hidden, but the coffee, mild chocolate and spiciness stays nicely on the tongue. A lot packed in here, but well-balanced and loving the heat takes care of things in the end.
