Taps rich coffee sable with a fairly thick tan head. Aroma offers roast malt, rum, woody and chocolate tones. Flavor delivers rich roast malt, mocha, rum, woody and hoppy tones for a narwhal of a brewski. Full body has fizz to spare. Dive into one!

Pours out 100% black with a thick foamy tan head. The aroma is of roasted malt, coffee and a little chocolate. The mouthfeel is EXTREMLY thick. The taste is very complex and absolutely outstanding. Wonderful last new beer of 2014!

This was an amazing brew. Black as the depths of the sea as it says. Malty richness with hints of cocoa. Nice latte colored head. real nice!! the high alcohol content doesn't shine through and makes this a pleseant tasting brew. Pours nice and is a little thick. The mouthful is nice and crunchy very tasty and very extreme. I really love the Bigfoot, but I just found the new love, I love the Narwhal....

Tasted at the 8th Annual Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Fest on Nov 9, 2013. This Imperial Stout pours an eclipse black color from the tap. Small to medium sized beige/tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, bourbon, wood, vanilla and coffee. A full bodied Imperial Stout. The malts are chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, vanilla and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Lots of bourbon and wood flavors blended with some nice smooth chocolate and vanilla flavors. Very smooth tasting with a hint of alcohol. This is what a barrel aged stout should taste like. There is a nice lingering bourbon finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bourbon, sweet and boozy.

Now THAT's how you barrel a beer. Everything I hope for in a BA stout. Improves on the base. Bourbon is rich and very evident, without being too hot or overpowering the original beer. Rich, smooth, chocolatey vanilla boozy decadence in a glass. Possibly the best Sierra Nevada beer i've ever had. They shoulda bottled this instead a tha BA Bigfoot.
