Monks brewed dopplebocks for Lent. While fasting, they were alloted a few liters of beer a day to sustain life. For forty days all they could do was consume beer, so they made it strong and hardy. Our dopplebock is both strong and hardy, while also being ultra smooth. On tap every year for the Cub's home opener. Served in a 10.5 oz glass.

After lunch glass at the brewpub while on our way to Dark Lord Day 2011. Clear and rich dark body with a filmy head. Heavy aromas and a super smooth mouth feel. Hearty, sweet yet drinkable and filling. Love me this goat.
