500ml bottle into pint glass. Dark opaque beer (backlit, it is actually deep mahogany) with frothy tan-coloured head. Aroma of iced coffee, chocolate and cocoa. Full-bodied and bitter in the mouth. The finish is much more coffee-bitter. Touches of burnt wood and aspirin late on. A very adult type of stout, good for winter nights and log fires.

50cl bottle in Tallinn. Pours clear mahogany with a lightly tanned head. Aroma of roasted malt with cocoa, coffee and hints of burnt wood. Moderate to medium sweet with balanced and lovely roasty flavours and a light bitterness in the finish. Quite delicious.

Sample from bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2013. Served too cold. Black colour, moderate beige head. Moderate roasty aroma, notes of cold coffee, unsweetened cocoa and wood. Very dry roasty flavour, coffee notes. Some hops in the finish. Not very complex, but nice enough to drink.
