The unfiltered, unfined, cask version of our Session Ale - Dry Hop Border Bitter - has an added spicy tang, imparted by the hop resins otherwise removed at filtering and by extra Challenger hops added at casking. The body of Dry Hop is slightly fuller than that of Session, thanks to the yeast left in the cask.

Today, a session ale means it’s probably a low ABV IPA or APA, but back in the day it referred to a well made flavourful English Bitter. This is lighter in colour than most British bitters coming in at a light to medium gold with a good sized off-white cap topping it all off. Floral hops, some clean caramel notes and light fruity notes comprise the aromatic component. Flavour is here is spades when compared to light lagers with notes of caramel and toffee leading to a citrusy finish

Orange red color with a clear body and a smallish white cap. Light caramel aroma over boiled cereals and some grassy notes. Front side is caramel malty balanced mid palate with golding bittering which dominates the flavor in the finish. Modest effort but clean and natural.

Tap: Golden colored ale with a nice huge foamy white with good retention. Aroma is quite sweet malt as well as floral hops. Taste is very good with a creamy mouth feel followed by nice sweet malts. Body is average and all of this makes it one true session beer, maybe one the best that I had the chance of drinking recently.

This brew is also called "Dogsbody" by the brewer. It poured a golden colour with a slight amber tint to it. The head was nice and creamy and lacing is intence. The nose was pretty floral and grainy. The mouth was fruity with hints of peach and honey. Slightly bitter, but with a very smooth and creamy finish. An excellent session ale (as its name refers to), and my beer of choice for our poker nights. Always get it in 20L kegs.
