500 ml bottle bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Schwanen Bräu stemmed tulip glass a clear golden orange colored Pils with a small half a finger white foamy head that had a short retention. Active carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is solid grainy malts and herbal hops. The flavour is a deep herbal hoppy bitterness. The mouthfeel is crispy and a bit sweety. This light to medium bodied Pils has a quite hoppy bitter finish. A decent and tasting Pils from the Fränkische Schweiz in Upper Franconia.

Fränken Bierausflug, Day#2, Brewery#7, Beer#13. Poured into the etched logo goblet vom Faß the traditional way - slowly, and in stages - resulting in a huge creamy white pillow head with good retention and noderate lacing. Clear and golden color; spicy grass nose; soft, creamy and rich mouthfeel unusual for a pils; medium-bodied; rich malt flavors with a stealthy hop bitterness that extends the softness and smoothness well into the finish.
