The "barocken Chorherren" coincided with the fasts with this full-bodied and nutritious specialty beer. Brewed fresh and served chilled, this dark beer unfolds its distinctive flavor. With its deep dark color and light head, this is a special treat. The strong malt flavor makes this beer a specialty, like the good old days. To your enjoyment!

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6

500 ml capped swing-top bottle. Poured in a Seidla a clear and dark-brown with reddish tones coloured S B with a generous one finger dark beige foamy head that had a very long retetnion and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Poor lacing. The aroma is roasted malts, caramel, honey notes and a fruity touch with dark berries. The flavour is roasted malts, caramel, fruity, dark berries, blackcurrant, dried fruits, nuts. The mouthfeel is light crispy, sparkling, quite thin and a bit sweety. The texture is watery. This light to medium bodied S B has a dry roasted malt finish. A nice try from the in Württemberg located Schussenrieder Erlebnisbrauerei and not bad at all, but this Schwarzbier can not compete with the Schwarzbieren of the old D.D.R.
