2014 edition of the Nickel Brook/Sawdust City 11.05 series, celebrating the November 5th birthday shared by brewers Ryan Morrow (Nickel Brook) and Sam Corbeil (Sawdust City). This year it’s a ridiculous & excessive 11.05% Triple IPA. Loaded with way too much hops and balanced with almost no malt, this one is for the hop heads only.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9
Pours a fair size frothy off-white head and has a hazy orangey appearance. Lacing is pretty thick and dirty. Aromas of fruity bitter happiness. Flavours are plentiful with a good variety of hops uses. Very hoppy, citrus and floral hops abound. Oranges and tropical type fruits. Extremely smooth for a triple IPA. Hardly any sort of strong bitterness in this one. Good mouthfeel. Slight tartiness. Quite a dangerous one to enjoy, goes down way too easily. Maybe a tad pricey but still quite worth it.
