Draught@Princess Louise, London. Deep rubyish brown colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, some dark dry fruits and mild chocolate. Flavour is coffee, roasted malts, chocolate and some dark dry fruits and rather bitter finish as well.

Keg at The 78, Glasgow. Black colour, mahogany in the highlights. Creamy head. Moderate aroma, roasty and a hint of vinegar. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Roasty flavour, slightly fruity. Better than Guinness.

Very Toasty, good pour, but not as delightful as some others to watch. I enjoy all of SS ales, beers and stouts and would be remiss if I hadn't tasted it. Of all their Stouts I'd put it at the bottom of the Totum.

A fair to middlin stout, decent, but NO where near the Oatmeal, a top 5 stout in my book. Nice malt and toasted grain nose, some hop bite, but a bit weak overall. I'd like to call it a "Lite" beer drinkers stout!
