The Pilgrams brewed beer from pumpkins when they had no grain. Today we add pumpkins, well, because they taste good. Twenty pounds of pumpkin per barrel give this beer body and sweetness, while spices like cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg warm you on a crisp fall day.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7
Pours clear chestnut with a thick and persistent buff head. Aroma delivers strong cinnamon, cloves and pumpkin notes riding an underpinning of fresh malt. (BTW - "canned pumpkin" is usually mostly other kinds of squash, and not much pumpkin, because pure pumpkin actually doesn’t have much flavor.) Flavor is not quite what the aroma promises, with everything a little muted but some woody hops making an appearance. Mouthfeel offers decent smooth body and some nice fizz. Spice up your beer drinking.
