Aud Blonde may be the lightest colored beer we have ever brewed at Russian River Brewing Company, but don't be fooled into thinking that this beer is light in flavor. It has a refined characteristic, which can be contributed to us blending pilsner malt with a unique hop called crystal. The distinctive characteristic of the crystal hop lends a citrus, almost eucalyptus quality in the aroma and mouth feel of the brew, while leaving the beer with a long dry finish.

I had this beer as part of a 14 beer sampler at the Russian River Brew Pub on 14 July 2011. It was good but at the end of the day this was just a blonde ale and quite an ordinary beer when compared to the rest of the line up on the "Big Board" at Russian River.

better than most blondes, but still a blonde. the addition of hops adds a little to the flavor level and aroma, but this one suffers in comparison to other great RR beers.

On tap at the brewery. Intersting example of a blonde ale and it's just too bad that they aren't all this well made. A slightly sweet aroma with some light citric fruit notes. Appearance is light gold in color, bright and clear with a normal sized head. Mouthfeel is light, crisp and refreshing. Flavors were equally as crisp, light and refreshing. Nothing overpowering here, just a clean tasty blonde ale.

On tap at the brewery. This blonde ale pours a light gold color. Small medium sized head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, touch of pears. A medium bodied blonde ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, touch of apricots and pears. Hops are mild but there is a definite bitterness here. Not very sweet for a blonde ale, and it has a very nice crisp dry finish. Interesting beer. A blond ale that will NOT insult a beer geek, Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
