Berliner Weisse - Sour Wheat Beer is a regional style from Northern Germany (mainly Berlin) that dates back to the 16th century. A popular story is that Napoleon's troops dubbed it "the Champagne of the North" in 1809. It has a subtle malty notes with hints tropical sour fruit and a dry clean finish. Traditionally this beer is served with a flavored syrup or dessert wine such as our Raspberry or Black Currant to balance the sourness of the beer.
