This stout presents a thick mouthfeel chock full of chocolate, roasted barley, licorice and tons of burnt caramel aroma. Dark was the inspiration to make this stout. A great divine power flowed through our bodies as we mashed this baby in for the first time. This thick bodied sweet stout is great all year long. This beer is the first one we have created after having opening and logging around 100 brews on our little system. We confess it to be our most mature beer as we have had ample time to refine our process.

Smoky aroma has malty, yeasty and chocolate notes with a hint of licorice. It pours a deep chocolaty opaque brown with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled tan head. Flavor has smoky, coffee, licorice and caramel notes plus a pinch of hops and a whisper of fruit. Texture is a bit thin for a stout, but fairly fizzy and lively, leaving a nice smoky and tingly finish.
