Reviewed in 2012. Comes out of the tap a rich, warm, opaque sable with a fairly thick tan head that leaves generous lacing - couldn’t look any better. Mouth-watering aroma fills the nose with woody, chocolate and roast malt notes. Fantabulous flavor has notes of chocolate, caramel, quality coffee and licorice notes plus hints of molasses and roast malt. I love stouts and I love Belgians, so this is a match made in beer lover’s heaven for me! Firm-bodied texture has a good amount of fizz and life. Congratulations on this milestone, Rogue! I feel privileged that I got a snort of your special brew.

Numbered bottle, 245/1515, from KnoxBeerCrew member ~~NGD (Jason). Medium bodied near black pour, one finger beige head, nice lacing. Interesting aromas: toasted malts, molasses, Belgian yeasts, a hint of sour, light cocoa and coffee. Flavor follows the aroma with a slight sour in the standard stout flavors. Nice Limited release. Glad I got to try this rare Rogue. Thanks Jason.
