A North American wheat beer lightly hopped with the distinctive taste of wheat and malted barley, great on a hot summer day with a slice of lemon, or a splash of black currant syrup or other fruit flavoring. In winter a shot of Schnapps or other fruit liqueur adds pleasant warmth to the brew. The unfiltered version is called Hefe Weizen, a Bavarian specialty. Try it with fresh fruit added.
